It's that time again, the BRITS 2014.

What better way to spend Wednesday night than to curl up with a glass of wine, cheeky Chinese and tune into the best British music ceremony of the year. Other than being there *Prays* one day, it doesn't reallly get much better. Here's a few of my fav looks from the red carpet. Brits time..

Pixie lot looked too cute in her 90's floor length box dress with a matching purse. A silver clutch may have updated this look a little more, but the metallic shoes were definitely a winner.

Pop princess Rita Ora looked striking in yellow by Prada and Calvin Harris wore an all black suit, sporting the i made a ton of money and moved to LA look.

Why have one Minogue when you can have two? The dream team rocked up in asymmetric cocktail dresses. Kylie even managed to make latex look friendly, giving her the slight edge over her sis.

Super model Rosie Huntington stayed true to BRIT form in her eye-poping saint Lauren sequin dress, a little number befitting any rock goddess.

Iggy Azalea's putting in work to stay relevant to the fashion eye. Bold hues were popular on the red carpet and her red Elie Saab number featuring sheer cut outs definitaly stood out.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Lilly's hair, please..

Pharrell's established a few signature trends including the Mountie hat and cropped pants without socks, the mankle. Here he is trending his metallic version, think it's safe to say he can pretty much pull of anything.

Yes he can even make cropped silver trousers look good (Picture: David M. Benett/Getty Images)

A memorable moment of the awards show was when Kate moss collected Best male solo artist award on David Bowie's behalf wearing his iconic ziggy star dust play suit from 1972.!! Only she could pull this off. Hats of Kate. Oh and of course you Bowie!

Katy Perry's dress was fresh-of the runway.  Julian McDonald's jeweled dress looked on fab on the pop princess to promote her Egyptian themed latest hit, 'Dark horse'. She gets extra authenticity point for her cleo hairstyle, perfect Egyptian prinny!

Ellie Goulding looked pretty in pink in her prom inspired gown with pockets. They clearly made it even cooler and totally not weird. Whether your a fan or not she quoted "Vivienne Westwood making me feel like an actual princess."  Our Cinderellie

Edgy Lorde picked up Best international female award. Is it me or does it look like she's casting a spell in her hand. I'm sure it's her amazing voice and not magic that got her those votes!

Lorde accepts the Best International Female award.

It's been emotional for the arctic lads who gave an eloquent acceptance speech on the longevity of rock and roll after accepting Best album of the year. Rock on boys.

Cheer up: Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley, and Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys accept their Best Album Award.

Beyonce's toned down performance was lyrically stunning as per, and in true diva fashion she threw her hubby's jacket over her sparkly gown and was on her private plane before the show had ended. Busy Bee.

For me this pocket sized beauty stole the show with her energetic presence. 19 year old Ella Eyre shared the best British number one award with Rudimental. She deserves another for that mane! Rising star!! Watch out for this little beaut.

After party of the night goes to these guys. Nando's?! Talk about balling on a budget. Guessing Peri Peri Chicken's just that good.

Girl crush Jhene Aiko

...Turn me, turn me up, Don't don't turn me down...

For me the first time I was blessed to hear Jhene’s distinctive voice was her feature on Kendrick Lamar’s track growing apart. I was mesmerized, i had to follow her up and I was not disappointed. Released in 2011 "Sailing souls" opened her world to fans, her honesty and free spirited nature sails straight to the core. Each track offers something different, from relationships to pressure, to self-discovery and a host of star features such as drake, Kanye and the man of the hour Kendrick Lamar.

She possesses a talent to create songs that seize the moment, as a listener we are wherever she is. Jhene literally has the whole package, stunning looks, a breezy and sensual voice that may easily make you forget that she is vocalizing truths of our generation. The melancholy she masters still manages to uplift her listener, in spite of the chains of industry she makes music that she wants to and is less concerned with money or power. Aiko confesses to being a mother before anything else, i think most people could agree that this is one inspiring and powerful female contender in the industry.

“That’s when I decided I would sail my “self” rather than sell my “self”” Jhene Aiko

Her newest EP “sail out” is just as addictive.
Bed peace, is a song about chasing all the complications of the world away
"Ain't nobody here, baby, let's get wasted/We should just get naked,"
all though life can be complicated
"Go 'head, tell your baby mama you gon' be with me tonight,"
it's a cute catchy melody to sing along to, making it seem less so.
A similar idea to John Lennon’s and Yoko Ono’s anti-war bed-ins.

She confronts the reality of both dark and light and stirs something within the listener, she confesses that her song writing is a therapy to her as much as her fans who can relate. Her popularity is ever growing as she continues to feature on new collaborations, receiving attention for the famous ‘I love me enough for the both of us’ line on Drakes "Time".  “Sail out” is definitely one for your playlist which is perfect for cold and rainy days. Her EP like many of her projects are reflections, and there should be a little time for reflection, always.

peace and love
