A closer look at Sam Smith

Anyone with radio signal will have heard the 21 year old Sam smith’s sweeet voice by now ether in the 5th bestselling single naughty boys "la la la" or Disclosures "Latch" which charted at no11. The young musician is full of soul and hits pretty smooth licks and falsettos on demand. His talent is merged with technique and pure emotion so it’s a no brainer that he’s HOT property right now and a critics favourite. After releasing only one EP he won the BBC sound of 2014 poll, which by the sounds of his upcoming single will most likely be the case. Money on my mind is released in Feb and is more up tempo and electro than his acoustic based EP; at some point in the near future this song will be stuck in your head, voluntary or not.. *Sings out loud* I don’t have money on my mind money on my minnnd.

I absolutely love life when a sound engineer genius re-imagines a beautiful track. And in smith’s Nirvana’s case, the altered bass and added sound effects of the 'Two inch punch promised land' remix creates a spacy nostalgic eargasm and the cover art says in words what I cannot. It’s pretttty damn fly.

Didn't get diamonds for christmass, here's some sparkle you can afford

When it's dull outside, i'm constantly trying to cheer myself up and when i dug this nail varnish out of my collection it instantly did the trick! A quick, sparkly and cost effective pick me up with their jazzly effect i couldn't help but fall in love with this shade all over again, so much so i thought I'd share it.

I used top shops Adrenaline pink after buying a similar shade by Rimmel. I took it with me to my friend’s mums wedding and the whole bridal party loved it, after being passed around (along with breakfast champagne) It never managed to find its way back to me. So she surprised me with this and I love it even more! It's also a bit cheaper.

You can buy this one or similar shades in any top-shop store or click here to buy online. I can safely say that if nothing else goes to plan tomorrow, these little gems will not disappoint. ;)

I'm tryna surround myself with people that inspire me, or at least inquire similar desires

-The ranting wilder beast, has risen from her slumber and she is wild-

Honestly I’m the queen of procrastination and guilty of lying around in bed watching funny vine video’s for much longer than i would care to admit (who doesn't need the joy of escapism from time to time) Or unashamedly cyber stalking celebs, oh and don’t get me started on the drama box sets; breaking bad and scandal how does Kerry Washington hypnotize me so that i feeel her pain, and must watch every episode available on Netflix untill stupid o'clock, then fail to wake up for uni the next morning. Time is precious so why I invest so much of it watching soccer moms argue over whose husband earns more money is although a guilty pleasure quite lame and how I spent wayy too much of my summer. At times life can feel like a b*tch (Excuse my French) throwing obstacles between me and my goals, left right and from behind. Sometimes life simply drains me.

Responsibility’s even relationships seem to use up all of my energy and I simply can’t be bothered to ‘chase my dreams’ so I spend time congratulating those that do because I know how hard it is to invest that extra bit of energy. I decided to grab that b*tch (pardon my enthusiasm) by the hair and drag her in the direction I want her to go. I decided to take control. At the end of the day when we’re laying in bed and we ask ourselves what we've achieved today and the answer is ‘well I did sort out my underwear draw and I found that missing earring I lost like 3 months ago' deep down we know we need to step up our game.

We need to bite the bullet and do whatever it is that needs to be done to chase our dreams and realize that escapism and procrastination can be fun but it holds us back. We are young, smart and much more capable of making changes than we give ourselves credit for. Take the first step to reach your ultimate goals whatever they may be, even if it means writing your idea’s down (you can multitask in front of your TV if you must) but DO it. Don’t lie in bed tonight wishing you had made a small change and convincing yourself that tomorrow you’re going to be motivated, do it now. Go on Bite the bullet.

-The coast is clear and she has gone, rant over-

People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.

The architect wouldn't waste time building a staircase to nowhere

So guys and dolls, i first want to wish YOU a happy new year, may it have blessings, lessons and a few cheeky surprises in store. I for one have had an eventful 2013. Moving away from my hometown, safety of student dorms and into my new home whilst adjusting to 'adulthood' in other words bills has been challenging, but has turned out to be touch wood a success! I'm in my second year and term of uni, studying English lit. Which sort of explains my abnormal desire and passion for writing on top of essays. That in mind, I have a lot to share and uncover over the upcoming year, i purposefully wrote it here so that in moments of doubt and pure laziness, someone somewhere expects me to actually prove it :) And if nobody does well, it's still on the internet and i can tick start blog of my to-do for all that's worth.

For now i just want to focus on the idea on New Years and let everyone know that once the clock hit 12 i became unrecognizable, an improved maturer, worldlier version of myself. Just kidding. If only it were that simple and one day could start a chain reaction that would lead to the re-invention of my character. That on the 31st of December a mysterious force is present giving everybody the insight and willpower to instantly change there lives, or is that just the ploy for a bad cosmetic ad, ether way it's favoring a lie. New years day is more like a fairy god mother, full of promise and insight of who we could become. A void of promise and possibility. Only there is a slight difference, the new us begins at 12 and is rudely interrupted by the reality of 12 the next morning with or without hangover. Then poof just like that the old us creeps back into bed sometimes in actual bodily form *cringe* or just as inconveniently into our thoughts.

-Those ratchet invaders.-

The point being the idea of a quick fix is forever tempting but the voice causing all that noise, preventing you from being a resolutions nightmare because you're already living how you want to regardless of the date needs to be heard, rationalized with and if its acting stubborn strapped to a firework and blown to pretty pieces.
Find your inner voice, give it what it needs, commit and listen to it and you'll find no need to rack your brains for a benefiting New years resolution, you will be on the path your heart chose. What can be more worthy of celebration.
